Vaccinations

now browsing by category

Vaccinations are supposed to prevent disease, but instead they increase allergies, reduce immunity, destroy our brains, give us bad hearts by filling us with toxins. Before any vaccination, ask for one without Mercury, Aluminium, Formaldehyde, Polysorbate 80, Yeast, Egg, Viruses, etc. Vaccines without these ingredients do not exist. And yes, vaccinations DO cause AUTISM.

Shocking study links vaccine ingredient to autism severity in nearly 5,000 children

by: | mercury-in-vaccines(NaturalHealth365)  A new study has uncovered disturbing evidence that a toxic mercury-based preservative used in vaccines may be directly influencing how severe autism becomes in American children.  This research, published in Science, Public Health Policy and the Law, represents the first time anyone has systematically tracked autism severity trends over more than two decades.  What they found should alarm every parent.

Dr. Cynthia Nevison analyzed data from nearly 5,000 autism cases in the CDC’s Autism and Developmental Disabilities Monitoring Network from 1992 to 2014.  What she discovered completely contradicts what the medical establishment keeps telling us – that rising autism rates are simply because doctors are getting better at diagnosing mild cases.

The pattern that changes everything

Nevison tracked how many autistic children had intellectual disability (IQ below 70) – a way to measure severe autism – and found a pattern that lines up perfectly with vaccine policy changes.

The intellectual disability rate among autistic children dropped dramatically from 48% in 1992 to 31% in 2002.  But here’s the really disturbing part: the steepest drop happened between 2000 and 2002, right when thimerosal (a mercury-containing preservative) was being removed from most childhood vaccines.

After staying stable at 31% through 2006, the severe autism rate started climbing again, reaching 41% by 2014, right back where it was before 2000.  This increase occurred shortly after the CDC began aggressively promoting flu shots containing thimerosal for pregnant women and infants, starting in 2004.

“This trend contradicts the prevailing assumption that rising ASD prevalence is largely attributable to expanded diagnostic criteria capturing more mildly affected, higher-functioning individuals,” noted researcher Dr. James Lyons-Weiler.

The thimerosal timeline nobody talks about

The timeline is too obvious to dismiss:

1999: CDC, American Academy of Pediatrics, and vaccine manufacturers agree to remove thimerosal as a “precautionary measure”

2001: Thimerosal removed from most childhood vaccines (except multi-dose flu shots)

2000-2002: Severe autism rates plummet from 38% to 31%

2004: CDC begins recommending flu shots for pregnant women and children 6-23 months

2006: Flu shot recommendations expanded to children 6 months to 5 years old

2006-2014: Severe autism rates steadily climb back to pre-removal levels

How mercury damages developing brains

Nevison explained that children with autism consistently have higher levels of toxic metals, including mercury, lead, and aluminum, in their systems.  These toxins cross the placenta and accumulate in the developing fetal brain, causing chronic inflammation and oxidative stress that can permanently disrupt brain development.

Mercury from thimerosal is particularly dangerous because it crosses the blood-brain barrier and has been directly linked to autism severity in multiple studies.  When given during pregnancy, especially in the first trimester, these toxins can cause devastating neurological damage.

“Autism is increasingly understood to have a strong environmental component involving toxic exposures in utero and early childhood,” Nevison wrote.  “These exposures can cause chronic systemic and neuro-inflammation as well as mitochondrial oxidative stress.”

Even the medical establishment finally admits something’s wrong

In what appears to be an acknowledgment that the evidence is overwhelming, the CDC’s Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices recently voted to stop recommending thimerosal-containing flu vaccines, with only one doctor dissenting.

But the damage might already be done.  According to data presented at the meeting, over 60,000 pregnant women got thimerosal-containing vaccines during just the 2019-2020 flu season alone.

Children’s Health Defense researcher Karl Jablonowski put it bluntly: “Autism is not a natural disaster, it is a disaster of our own making.  We cannot un-injure children, but we can stop the injuries from continuing.”

What parents can do right now

While we can’t undo decades of mercury exposure, we can take steps to protect children from ongoing toxic damage:

Support your body’s detox systems that help eliminate heavy metals and other toxins that build up in developing brains

Avoid unnecessary vaccines during pregnancy and early childhood, especially those with toxic preservatives or adjuvants

Choose single-dose vaccines when vaccination is your desire  to avoid thimerosal exposure

Build immune systems naturally so children are less vulnerable to environmental toxins

Address the toxic overload that modern children face from multiple sources – vaccines, food, air, and water

Why detox matters more than ever

This study provides smoking-gun evidence that environmental toxins are driving both the autism rates and the severity of autism.  With nearly 1 in 31 children now diagnosed with autism, supporting the body’s natural detox systems has become critical for every family.

A newly unsealed expert report from Danish physician and world-renowned research methodologist Dr. Peter C. Gøtzsche, reveals that Merck intentionally misrepresented the safety profile of its Gardasil HPV vaccine.

Editor’s note: Children’s Health Defense, which has been involved in Robi v. Merck & Co., the landmark Gardasil HPV vaccine lawsuit, is providing ongoing support for the suit.

In what could become one of the most explosive pharmaceutical lawsuits in U.S. history, Robi v. Merck & Co., centered on the Gardasil human papillomavirus (HPV) vaccine, is set to resume in Los Angeles in September.

At the core of the case are allegations that Merck misrepresented the safety profile of Gardasil — allegations now supported by powerful evidence.

A newly unsealed expert report from Danish physician and world-renowned research methodologist Dr. Peter C. Gøtzsche, submitted as part of the pre-trial motion, underpins the claims against Merck.

His 350-page forensic analysis — now part of the official court record — lays bare a chilling narrative of clinical trial rigging, regulatory failure and global deception.

According to Gøtzsche, Merck distorted its clinical trial data so thoroughly that the results were rendered scientifically meaningless.

Gøtzsche’s assessment is stark and unequivocal.

“The Merck-sponsored trials cannot be used to properly assess the harms of the vaccines,” he writes, adding that the company “squandered the opportunity to legitimately study the safety of Gardasil.”

After examining 112,000 pages of regulatory documents, Gøtzsche concluded that Merck manipulated its data to such an extent that it would be “difficult if not impossible” for any independent scientist — or even government regulators — to accurately assess the vaccine’s harms.

It now raises the fundamental question: Were millions of adolescents misled into consenting to a vaccine whose true safety risks were deliberately obscured?

Trials designed to mislead

From the outset, Gøtzsche argues that Merck engineered its clinical trials not to detect harms, but to mask them.

Rather than using an inert placebo, such as saline solution, the gold standard in clinical research, Merck used an aluminium-based adjuvant as the control in all but two small trials.

Aluminium adjuvants are known neurotoxins that trigger immune responses and can cause local and systemic side effects on their own.

“It is indefensible that Merck avoided comparing its vaccine with placebo,” Gøtzsche writes.

This tactic had a clear purpose: to minimize the appearance of adverse effects by ensuring that the “control” group would experience side effects similar to the vaccinated group, making the vaccine seem safer by comparison.

Even the World Health Organization (WHO) has warned that using an active comparator like an adjuvant instead of a true placebo “makes it difficult to assess the harms of a vaccine.”

Only under pressure from regulators did Merck conduct two small trials using a saline placebo.

And those two trials — marked with a red box below — showed a significantly greater incidence of harm compared to trials that used an aluminium adjuvant or a comparator vaccine as the “placebo.”

In short, Gøtzsche’s assessment was that these trials were designed to deceive.

Concealing harms by slicing the data

Beyond trial design, Gøtzsche details how Merck systematically manipulated the recording and reporting of adverse events.

Participants were monitored for harms for just 14 days following each vaccine dose — a relatively short window. Autoimmune reactions and other vaccine-related harms can take weeks or months to emerge, and sometimes years to diagnose, as in the case of conditions like postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome (POTS).

If an adverse event occurred outside this 14-day window, it was not counted as a vaccine-related effect, but reclassified as a “new medical history,” obscuring any connection to the vaccine.

“By calling adverse events ‘new medical history,’ Merck not only concealed important adverse events but also their severity,” Gøtzsche explains.

Reactions that occurred outside the short observation window were excluded unless they were classified as serious — such as being life-threatening or resulting in disability, hospitalization or permanent damage — but even some of these reactions were omitted by Merck from its reports.

As a result, thousands of adverse events that could have revealed patterns of harm were systematically excluded from the final analysis.

This was not a matter of simply taking their eye off the ball — it was a calculated strategy by Merck.

The disappearing harms

One of the most striking sections of Gøtzsche’s report concerns Merck’s handling of results from Study P001, one of the largest clinical trials for Gardasil.

In this trial, over 14,000 participants were enrolled to compare the original Gardasil vaccine with its newer version, Gardasil 9, which contains twice the amount of adjuvant and five more disease antigens than Gardasil.

The trial data showed that 3.3% of participants receiving Gardasil 9 experienced a serious adverse event compared to 2.6% of those who received the original Gardasil.

Merck dismissed the difference as “low and comparable.”

But Gøtzsche’s analysis revealed that this increase was statistically significant. He calculated that for every 141 people vaccinated with Gardasil 9, one would suffer a serious adverse event — a rate he described as “alarming.”

Navigating the data for this study was no small feat. Gøtzsche describes the trial documents — running over 8,734 pages — as dense, disorganized and deliberately structured to obscure critical findings.

“Important results might easily pass unnoticed,” he warns.

In his view, Merck didn’t simply fail to investigate vaccine harms — it actively constructed barriers to hide them from public scrutiny.

Collage of events

Post-market red flags ignored

After Gardasil’s release onto the global market, reports of serious side effects began to surface — particularly cases involving neurological syndromes such as POTS and complex regional pain syndrome.

Rather than conducting independent reviews, regulatory agencies like the European Medicines Agency (EMA) relied on Merck’s internal analyses to assess whether these conditions might be linked to the vaccine.

However, Gøtzsche highlights that Merck’s database searches were narrowly defined and poorly constructed — effectively ensuring that many relevant cases would not even be captured in the search for key terms.

“The EMA’s official report did not mention that the search strategies the manufacturers used to search their databases were inadequate and must have overlooked many cases,” Gøtzsche writes.

Rather than challenging these deficient analyses, regulators accepted them at face value. Gøtzsche calls this what it is — regulatory failure.

“It is remarkable that drug regulators accepted Merck’s contradictory, biased and misleading reports based on trials that were already flawed by design,” he says.

The erosion of informed consent

For Gøtzsche, these issues go beyond mere scientific misconduct — they represent a profound violation of medical ethics.

Participants in the trials were lied to; they were told they were receiving a placebo when in fact they were injected with an aluminium adjuvant. Nor were they adequately informed of the true scope of potential harms associated with the vaccine.

Without honest disclosure, Gøtzsche argues, informed consent — the bedrock of ethical clinical research — was denied.

Millions of adolescents and their families made decisions based on safety data that were incomplete, selectively reported, or actively concealed.

This isn’t just a scientific scandal. It is a betrayal of public trust.

Regulators weren’t just passive — they were complicit

Gøtzsche’s report also shines a harsh light on the regulatory agencies tasked with protecting public health, including the U.S. Food and Drug Administration and the EMA.

“It is well known that regulatory agencies are understaffed, which means it is unlikely they would be able to undertake a thorough review of Merck’s data as presented,” Gøtzsche notes.

When concerns about Gardasil’s safety prompted a formal review in Denmark in 2015, the EMA largely relied on Merck’s self-submitted data to reassure the public.

But buried deep within those submissions were warnings that regulators either missed or chose to overlook.

According to Gøtzsche, this was not simply a failure of vigilance, it reflected a systemic breakdown in regulatory oversight.

A reckoning for public health

The Robi v. Merck lawsuit could mark a historic turning point in pharmaceutical accountability. The case is not just about one vaccine or one company — it is about the broader mechanisms by which drugs are tested, approved and marketed around the world.

If proven, Merck’s conduct would not merely represent corporate misconduct, but a collapse in the systems designed to protect public health.

The Merck-sponsored trials “cannot be trusted,” Gøtzsche concludes.

That simple but devastating conclusion may reverberate far beyond this lawsuit.

If this case succeeds, it could force a long-overdue reckoning — one that reinstates transparency, scientific integrity and the right of every patient to make a fully informed choice.

For now, one urgent question remains — how many were harmed because the truth was hidden?

STORY AT-A-GLANCE

  • Dr. Suzanne Humphries challenges conventional vaccine narratives, arguing that improvements in sanitation and nutrition, not vaccines, were primarily responsible for declining disease rates
  • Humphries’ journey from kidney specialist to vaccine researcher began after noticing patterns of kidney failure in patients following flu vaccination
  • The 1986 National Childhood Vaccine Injury Act shields vaccine manufacturers from lawsuits, prioritizing profit over rigorous safety testing
  • Early vaccines contained contaminants like SV40, a cancer-causing monkey virus that entered polio vaccines through production methods using monkey kidneys
  • Humphries emphasizes the importance of avoiding dogmatic thinking about vaccines, advocating for open-minded examination of medical practices

Joe Rogan recently sat down with Dr. Suzanne Humphries, co-author of “Dissolving Illusions: Disease, Vaccines, and the Forgotten History,” one of my favorite books on vaccines.1 I previously interviewed Humphries about how vaccine science has been misrepresented to portray them as safe and effective, when in reality they’re neither.

She absolutely crushed it in this Rogan interview! I honestly don’t think anyone in history has laid out such a clear, convincing, and downright compelling case about the vaccine downsides. After decades of grinding away, her hard work’s finally getting the spotlight it deserves, and I’m beyond thrilled to have written the forward to her fantastic book.

Rogan also asked Humphries questions about the history, science and real impact of vaccines, and she didn’t hold back with her answers. Their conversation challenges conventional narratives about vaccines, explores the efficacy of natural remedies and uncovers an important history of medicine that is often overlooked.

The Importance of an Open Mind

Rogan opens the episode by emphasizing a key principle: avoiding dogma. “You can’t be dogmatic when you’re talking about vaccines — or about anything,” he says, advocating for a flexible, 360-degree perspective rather than the tunnel vision often fostered by indoctrination. Humphries agrees, noting that intentional and profitable indoctrination has shaped public perception of medical practices.

• Beneficial practices are often unfairly dismissed — Rogan praises “Dissolving Illusions” for highlighting the use of natural remedies like cinnamon, which are often discredited as “hippie nonsense.” Humphries explains that cinnamon, a powerful herb, contains significant vitamin C, a nutrient she believes underpinned the effectiveness of many traditional remedies.

She recalls dismissing such ideas early in her career, only to later recognize their value. Garlic, too, emerges as a standout, effective against staph infections without fostering drug resistance — a stark contrast to engineered pharmaceuticals.

• This shift in perspective — from skepticism to appreciation — mirrors a broader theme — The conventional medical establishment has a tendency to reject natural solutions in favor of standardized, profitable interventions. Humphries argues that doctors should recommend these remedies alongside conventional treatments, citing, for example, vitamin D and vitamin A as important yet underutilized tools.

Vaccines and Vitamin A — A Hidden Connection

The conversation pivots to a striking revelation about the measles vaccine. Humphries explains that both natural measles infection and the vaccine deplete vitamin A levels in the body. “They don’t tell you that,” she says, noting that post-vaccination advice often only recommends Tylenol, which she notes impairs immune response and causes “immunological disturbances.”

• The medical system prioritizes standardized procedures over holistic care — This vitamin A depletion, Humphries argues, should prompt vitamin A supplementation to be recommended along with the measles shot, but this advice is absent from standard protocols. This point underscores a recurring critique of the medical system focusing on disease care instead of health care.

• Variability in vaccine production contributes to inconsistent outcomes — This problem is made worse by legal immunity granted to vaccine manufacturers. Rogan probes this further, asking if the 1986 National Childhood Vaccine Injury Act, which shields vaccine companies from lawsuits, fueled this variability.

Humphries traces the precedent to the 1976 swine flu vaccine fiasco, where injuries forced the government to absorb liability, setting the stage for 1986’s broader measure.

• Post-1986, vaccine makers prioritized profit over safety — They introduced vaccine enhancers, or adjuvants, like aluminum and, eventually, mRNA technology. The legal protection afforded under the 1986 Act, she contends, allowed companies to prioritize profit over rigorous safety testing, a theme that reverberates throughout their discussion.

The Polio Paradox — Vaccines or Sanitation?

Polio remains the poster child for vaccine success, but Humphries challenges this narrative with a detailed historical analysis. Rogan asks what caused polio’s decline, questioning the vaccine’s role. Humphries responds that the facts don’t align with popular belief. “Polio is still here,” she asserts, rebranded as conditions like Guillain-Barré syndrome — diagnostic criteria shifted post-vaccine to mask its persistence.

• Environmental factors — pesticides like DDT, arsenic and lead — are primary culprits — DDT production, she notes, mirrored polio outbreaks, with rural communities exposed through livestock dipping and crop spraying. “Arsenic causes the exact same spinal pathology,” she says, citing medical references that link these toxins to symptoms attributed to polio.

• Up to 95% to 99% of polio cases are asymptomatic — This suggests it’s a virus naturally present and benign in healthy individuals. Humphries cites a study of the Xavante Indians in South America, where nearly all tested had immunity to polio strains without paralysis, implying robust natural immunity negated its threat.

Rogan marvels at this, pointing out that viruses often weaken on their own and become less harmful over time — yet human interventions, like the 1916 Rockefeller lab’s engineered polio strain, made it more deadly.

• The threat of vaccine-derived polio — This is particularly related to oral vaccines still used in India and Israel. These live strains, she says, caused more paralytic cases than they prevented in early trials, a fact obscured by redefined diagnostics and propaganda. This complexity dismantles the simplistic “vaccine eradicated polio” story, pointing instead to sanitation, nutrition and reduced toxin exposure as key drivers of its decline.

Smallpox — A Tale of Sanitation and Suffering

Smallpox, another supposed vaccine triumph, faces similar scrutiny. Humphries describes its vaccine as a crude concoction of animal pus — often from cows, horses or cadavers — mixed with glycerin and dubbed “pure lymph.”

• Far from pure, these vaccines harbored bacteria and fungi — Contamination persisted into the 20th century. Rogan is incredulous: “Can you believe that fairy tale?” he asks, as Humphries details how these vaccines spread disease, including tuberculosis, a side effect she dubs “the white plague.”

• Public health conditions amplified smallpox’s toll — Rogan paints a vivid picture: streets awash with feces, no running water and rampant malnutrition. Humphries agrees, noting that in the late 1600s, smallpox was “one of the easiest diseases to treat” with supportive care. The Industrial Revolution worsened conditions, cramming people into filthy slums where disease thrived.

Death rates, she argues, plummeted not due to vaccines but alongside improvements in water, shelter and labor laws. Death rates from conditions like diarrhea, which had no vaccine, also declined during this time.

• Doctors of the era often worsened outcomes with toxic treatments — Mercury, arsenic and bloodletting were prescribed until vomiting or diarrhea ensued. These “purges,” meant to expel illness, instead debilitated patients. Yet, natural remedies like apple cider vinegar showed promise, with historical reports of doctors using it to prevent smallpox infection — a practice echoing its modern resurgence for gut health.

Natural Remedies Reclaimed

The dismissal of natural remedies frustrates both Rogan and Humphries. “The hippies seem to have got it right,” Rogan quips. Humphries recounts treating tetanus — a vaccine-targeted disease — with vitamin C and wound care, achieving better outcomes than in vaccinated cases. Studies, she says, show vitamin C prevents tetanus in rabbits if administered early, challenging the vaccine’s necessity.

• Breast milk emerges as a nutritional powerhouse — This food is rich in stem cells, immune factors and memory T-cells that confer cellular immunity. Humphries laments its replacement by formula, a profitable industry that downplays these benefits. Rogan agrees, decrying the arrogance of assuming artificial substitutes match nature’s design.

• Vitamins A, D and C recur as unsung heroes — Humphries ties vitamin A deficiency to vaccine side effects, vitamin D to immune resilience and vitamin C deficiency to hospital-acquired scurvy and more. “Most people are walking around with subclinical scurvy,” she warns, worsened by stress, smoking and poor diets — conditions vaccines can’t fix.

The Dark Side of Vaccine Production

How do contaminants like SV40, a cancer-causing monkey virus, end up in vaccines? Humphries explains the process: vaccines require living tissue — rotten meat for tetanus, monkey kidneys for polio, E. coli for COVID-19 mRNA shots.

SV40, harmless in monkeys, infiltrated polio vaccines via African green monkey kidneys, and remained undetected until Dr. Bernice Eddy flagged it in the 1950s. Eddy’s warnings were ignored and suppressed, and contaminated stocks persisted into the 1990s.

• Now transmissible among humans, SV40 enhances cancer-promoting genes — It also inhibits cancer-suppressing genes, driving kidney, brain and lung tumors. Humphries links its introduction to rising cancer rates.

Rogan is stunned: “How could they keep injecting that into people?” Humphries cites suppression — “any doubts … must not be allowed to exist” — and profit motives, noting research into SV40’s long-term effects was axed despite clear correlations.

• COVID shots contain compounds that amplify side effects — These effects include blood clots and stem cell loss in placentas. These issues went unreported amid media silence. This opacity, Humphries argues, reflects a system that prioritizes industry over inquiry.

A Doctor’s Awakening

Humphries’ journey from kidney doctor to advocate began with the 2008-2009 flu vaccine, which she linked to kidney failure in her patients. “We’re not told to take a vaccine history,” she says, yet patterns emerged. Many patients experienced high blood pressure and dialysis post-vaccination. Her requests to delay shots for chemotherapy patients were rebuffed, sparking her research into polio, smallpox and beyond.

• Humphries went on to co-author “Dissolving Illusions” — The book was self-published after multiple rejections. The book, now in eight languages, challenges vaccine efficacy with statistics showing death rates dropped before widespread vaccination, driven by improved sanitation and nutrition. Threats followed, but she remains undeterred, determined to spread the word.

• Rogan, once a vaccine advocate, credits Humphries’ book with shattering his illusions — “I would have told you vaccines saved us from polio,” he admits, now seeing propaganda’s power. Humphries, meanwhile, urges a return to healing’s roots — nutrition, natural remedies and patient-centered care.

• This conversation isn’t anti-science; it’s a call for true science — It’s time for open, unbiased debate, unshackled from profit and dogma. Humphries invites us to question, explore and reclaim health through knowledge, not blind trust. For more, visit dissolvingillusions.com, where Humphries’ work continues to challenge and enlighten.

FAQs About Vaccines

Q: What is the main argument against the conventional narrative of vaccines?

A: The widely accepted belief that vaccines are solely responsible for the decline of diseases like polio and smallpox is oversimplified. Improved sanitation, better nutrition and natural remedies played significant roles in reducing disease rates.

Q: How does vitamin A relate to vaccines, particularly the measles vaccine?

A: Both natural measles infection and the measles vaccine deplete vitamin A levels in the body, which may lead to negative health effects. Humphries highlights that this depletion is rarely mentioned in standard medical advice, which often limits post-vaccination recommendations to Tylenol. She argues that vitamin A supplementation should be advised alongside the measles vaccine to support immune health, a practice currently overlooked.

Q: What are the concerns about vaccine production and legal immunity?

A: Variability in vaccine production results in inconsistent safety and efficacy outcomes. The legal immunity granted to vaccine manufacturers through the 1986 National Childhood Vaccine Injury Act, which protects them from lawsuits, is also problematic. This legal shield has allowed vaccine manufacturers to prioritize innovation and profit over thorough safety testing, putting public health at risk.

Q: What are some of the issues with smallpox vaccines?

A: Early smallpox vaccines were crude, made from animal pus and often contaminated with bacteria and fungi, spreading diseases like tuberculosis. Smallpox declined primarily due to improvements in sanitation, living conditions and nutrition — not the vaccine.

Q: What is SV40 and how did it end up in vaccines?

A: SV40 is a cancer-causing monkey virus that contaminated polio vaccines in the 1950s and 1960s. It entered the vaccines because they were produced using monkey kidneys, and the virus went undetected until later flagged by Dr. Bernice Eddy. Despite warnings, contaminated vaccines were used for years, contributing to increased cancer rates. This is as example of flaws in vaccine production and oversight.

gardasil cervical cancer vaccine

STORY AT-A-GLANCE

  • Gardasil’s ability to prevent cervical cancer is being questioned, with experts citing a lack of long-term studies proving reduced cancer rates
  • While Gardasil targets specific HPV strains, concerns exist that it allows for the emergence of other harmful strains, thus canceling the vaccine’s intended benefits
  • Reports of severe side effects, including heart complications and even deaths, raise serious safety concerns, warranting caution
  • The vaccine’s aggressive marketing, despite the proven effectiveness of regular pap smears, suggests Gardasil’s benefits have been exaggerated while risks have been downplayed
  • Lawsuits alleging that Merck concealed risks and overstated Gardasil’s efficacy are underway, casting doubt on the company’s transparency and raising trust issues regarding pharmaceutical marketing

Imagine you’re sitting in the doctor’s office, trusting a vaccine to shield you from cancer — only to wonder later if it’s really working, or suffer serious side effects as a result. That’s the big question about Gardasil, the human papillomavirus (HPV) vaccine sold as your cervical cancer protector.

Cervical cancer hits thousands of U.S. women every year, and since 2006, Gardasil has been pitched as a top way to stop it. But lately, people are asking if it’s the miracle we’ve been told. Let’s uncover whether Gardasil truly prevents cervical cancer, what risks might come with it and what’s up with its maker, Merck.

Does Gardasil Really Stop Cervical Cancer?

Merck, the company behind Gardasil, regards it as a blockbuster vaccine. They say it protects you from HPV strains that lead to cervical cancer. You’ve probably seen their ads pushing it for teens and young adults. Merck claims it stops cancer-causing viruses before they hurt you, but this is misleading.

• Why do experts question Gardasil’s cancer claims? Not everyone’s convinced. Dr. Sin Hang Lee, a doctor who studies diseases, says there’s no hard evidence Gardasil prevents cervical cancer itself.1 It’s been shown to cut down on pre-cancer spots — little warning signs that usually go away on their own. But no big, long-term studies prove it lowers actual cancer rates.

• How do pap smears already help you? Before Gardasil came along, pap smears were the real stars. These simple tests catch problems early, slashing cervical cancer rates big time. In the U.S., it’s pretty rare now, thanks to screening — not vaccines. From 1947 to 1970, cervical cancer cases dropped from 44 to just 8.8 per 100,000 women — all without Gardasil.2

• What should you take from this? Gardasil is not your only option. Regular checkups with pap smears are your best bet. Talk to your doctor about what fits your life — not just what ads tell you. You decide what’s worth it for your health.

Could Gardasil Cause More Problems Than It Solves?

Gardasil knocks out a few HPV types, but others sneak in to take their place. Research in Finland found new strains showing up after people got the vaccine.3 It could mean the benefits get canceled out. Think of it like a whack-a-mole game — hit one, and another pops up. So, Gardasil might lower some risks but leave you open to others.

• Are there serious side effects? Lee tied it to a teen’s sudden death from heart trouble, pointing to a vaccine ingredient causing inflammation.4 Others have fainted or had worse reactions after the shot. Imagine a fire alarm in your body — usually it’s quiet, but for some, it’s a loud emergency. These cases are uncommon, but they’re real, and you should know.

• Teen dies after second Gardasil shot — Joel Gomez was a healthy 14-year-old who got his second Gardasil dose and died in his sleep. Lee found heart damage linked to the vaccine, sounding an alarm about serious risks.5 Gomez was full of energy, training for his high school football team — then gone overnight. Tragedies like his make you think twice.

• How do you weigh the risks and benefits? You deserve the full picture — not just the happy sales talk — before deciding on a Gardasil vaccine. It’s like choosing to skydive: exciting for some, but you’d check your parachute first. Understand that there are serious concerns about Gardasil’s effectiveness and it carries life-threatening risks, then pick what feels right for you.

Did Merck Tell the Whole Truth?

Merck pushed Gardasil hard, even in places where cervical cancer is already low thanks to screening. Their ads made it sound like your only way to stay safe, which is far from the truth. It’s like a salesman pitching a fancy car when your old one still runs fine.

• Are Merck’s studies solid? Merck points to studies in Sweden6 and Scotland7 showing big wins for Gardasil. But Lee says not so fast — they’re flawed. Too many young people, not enough time and screening skewed the results. It’s like grading a test halfway through — you can’t say it’s an A yet. The studies look nice, but they don’t prove Gardasil works.

• Why is Merck facing a lawsuit? A trial adjourned until September 2025 claims Merck hid risks and overhyped Gardasil’s benefits. Lee’s work backs up accusations they weren’t upfront.8 Imagine a magician hiding cards — did Merck keep some tricks secret? This lawsuit hints they did, and it’s worth watching.

• What does this mean for your trust? If Merck bent the truth, you’ve got every right to ask questions. Look into it and go with what feels right — not just what’s marketed. It’s like choosing a friend: you want one who’s real, not just smooth-talking. Your health deserves the straight story.

Gardasil promises to stop cervical cancer, but the evidence is far from rock-solid, the risks are severe and Merck stretched the truth. Pap smears are still your most reliable defense for catching trouble early.

You’ve got the power here — dig into the facts, think about what could go right or wrong and don’t just buy the hype. Gomez’s story and Lee’s warnings push you to stay sharp and curious. What’s your next move? Stay educated about screening and vaccines. Ask: “Do I really need Gardasil, or is my pap smear enough?” It’s your health, your choice. Stay in the know, and make the call that works for you.

FAQs About Gardasil

Q: What is Gardasil, and how does it work?

A: Gardasil’s a vaccine aimed at stopping certain HPV strains that might cause cervical cancer. It gets your immune system ready to fight them off. But it doesn’t cover every strain. Remember, relying on Gardasil could create a false sense of security, as it doesn’t protect against all HPV types. Therefore, regular pap smears are still essential — and remain a key reason why cervical cancer rates have declined in the U.S.

Q: Does Gardasil really prevent cervical cancer?

A: It lowers pre-cancer spots, which usually go away on their own, but there’s no long-term proof it stops cancer. Pap smears, though, are proven to save lives by spotting issues early. The lack of concrete evidence linking Gardasil directly to reduced cervical cancer rates is a major concern. This means that preventative measures such as pap smears should not be replaced by the vaccine.

Q: What are the risks of getting Gardasil?

A: Risks include issues like fainting as well as severe problems like heart issues and sudden death. Weigh these risks carefully before deciding. The risks of serious side effects should be understood. It is important to know that these side effects have been reported in individuals who have received the vaccine.

Q: Should I get Gardasil if I have pap smears?

A: Pap smears work great at catching cancer early, making Gardasil unnecessary. Given the effectiveness of pap smears, it’s worth questioning whether the added risks of Gardasil are justified. Prioritize informed consent and personalized medical advice over generalized recommendations.

Q: Why is Merck being sued over Gardasil?

A: People say Merck downplayed risks and overhyped benefits. Experts like Lee claim they weren’t fully honest, and a lawsuit’s digging into it. The ongoing legal proceedings highlight the importance of transparency and accountability in pharmaceutical marketing. This lawsuit aims to reveal if the company fully disclosed all dangers associated with the vaccine.

plantar warts

STORY AT-A-GLANCE

  • Plantar warts are painful growths on foot soles caused by the human papillomavirus (HPV), affecting 10% to 20% of children and spread easily through direct contact in damp environments like pools
  • Professional treatments for warts include cryotherapy, laser treatment and immunotherapy, but these are usually expensive and painful
  • Salicylic acid is a common over-the-counter treatment that works by peeling away infected skin layers and stimulating immune response, though effectiveness varies based on concentration
  • The duct tape method involves covering warts for five to six consecutive days, with traditional rubber-based adhesive tape producing better results than transparent acrylic-based alternatives
  • Natural remedies include garlic, banana peel, pineapple juice and aloe vera, while prevention involves wearing shoes in public areas and maintaining good hygiene practices

Do you spend a lot of time at the gym or the local pool? Here’s one reminder — always wear slippers or shoes in the locker room or shower area. If you don’t take precautions, plantar warts could grow on the soles of your foot.

Painful and uncomfortable, plantar warts account for one-third of all skin warts today.1 While they affect people of all ages, they’re more commonly seen in teens or children who often come in close contact with others;2 an estimated 10% to 20% of children today have plantar warts.3 These warts, as well as other types of warts, spread easily, which is why if you see or feel one growing on your foot, you’ll want to treat it immediately.

What Are Plantar Warts?

Generally, warts are small noncancerous growths that form on various areas of the body. There are several types, including common warts, flat warts, deep palmoplantar warts and periungual warts. However, plantar warts (verruca plantaris) specifically grow on one part of your body — the soles of your feet. These small, round growths appear on the balls or heels of your feet. Plantar warts are usually rough, with black dots — tiny blood clots — in the center.4

Plantar warts are caused by the human papillomavirus (HPV), which you can directly or indirectly get from other people. HPV thrives in damp areas; if it enters your body through a tiny cut or crack (such as a small wound) on the bottom of your feet, it causes plantar warts to form.5 In a Yahoo News article, Nam Tran, DPM, a Dallas-based podiatrist, explains:6

“Both plantar and common warts are caused by the human papillomavirus (HPV). The only differentiation between the two is the location. Plantar wart refers to growths found on the foot, while common warts can appear on any other part of the body.”

As noted by Dr. Steven Daveluy, a professor of dermatology at Wayne State University in Detroit, having a plantar wart feels like walking on a pebble with every step.7 Since they form on areas of the feet that bear the most pressure, plantar warts could grow inward, causing a callus to appear.

Plantar warts are highly contagious and spread through direct contact. If you touch an active wart and fail to wash your hands before touching other parts of your body or other people, the virus could spread. This is why it’s advisable to wear a sock or put a bandage over the wart to curb its spread.8 Aside from young people, those who are immunocompromised are more susceptible to these growths.

Plantar warts usually go away on their own, but it can take months or even years for them to clear up. This is why some people opt to remove them, especially if they’re causing discomfort and affecting their day-to-day activities. A range of conventional treatments and holistic options are available to help get rid of these painful and irritating skin growths, which are discussed below.

Cryotherapy and Other Dermatologist-Prescribed Treatments

Most people opt to treat warts at home, but there are those who find the condition embarrassing and end up seeking help from a dermatologist to resolve this issue. According to the American Academy of Dermatology Association (AAD), some of the treatments used for warts removal include:9

• Cryosurgery or cryotherapy — Liquid nitrogen is applied over the wart, either with a cotton swab or a spray. A numbing solution is applied prior to the treatment, as it’s painful. The freezing forms a blister around the wart, killing it. The treatment is repeated every few weeks until the wart is eliminated.10

• Cantharidin — This topical medication is applied over the wart, causing a blister to form. The wart’s outer layer is then removed. Multiple sessions are needed for this to work.11

• Electrosurgery and curettage — This involves burning off the wart and scraping it off using a sharp instrument. These two procedures are often done together.

• Laser treatment — This is used for warts that have not responded to other procedures.

• Immunotherapy — It involves the patient’s own immune system to fight the warts. A chemical is applied over the wart to trigger a mild allergic reaction, which then prompts the immune system to target the wart.

As you might expect, these treatments are not only invasive and have uncomfortable side effects, but they’re also costly. For example, cryotherapy sessions can cost as much as $610, including the initial checkup and follow-up sessions.12 This is why many people turn to noninvasive home treatments to get rid of plantar warts (and other types of warts).

Try Using Salicylic Acid

One of the most common home treatment options for plantar warts is salicylic acid, which you can easily get without prescription. Salicylic solutions, gels or pads are readily available in drugstores and must be applied to the wart daily.

Salicylic acid works in two ways — it slowly peels away the layers of the skin that contain the wart and it irritates the wart area, prompting your immune system to respond and eliminate the virus. The AAD advises soaking the wart in warm water prior to applying the salicylic treatment to soften the rough skin.13 Here’s a step-by-step method for you to follow:14

  1. Soak the wart in warm water for five to 10 minutes.
  2. Using a pumice stone or emery board, file the rough surface of the wart.
  3. Apply the salicylic treatment to the wart, making sure the entire surface is covered. Avoid getting it on surrounding skin.
  4. Wash your hands with soap and water.

Studies have demonstrated that salicylic acid performs better than a placebo in treating warts.15 Since this is a chemical treatment, there could be side effects, such as mild skin irritation, pain or discoloration.

However, according to Saylee Tulpule, a podiatrist and spokeswoman for the American Podiatric Medical Association, the effectiveness of salicylic acid treatments is “hit-or-miss,” as their acid concentration is sometimes not high enough to eliminate the wart.16 In other cases, the salicylic acid is used incorrectly, or not frequently enough.

The Duct Tape Technique

I’ve previously written about the positive effects of using duct tape to treat warts, as it is an effective, painless and inexpensive home remedy for this type of skin problem. Also called tape occlusion, this method involves covering the wart with a small piece of duct tape and leaving it on for several days. Follow this procedure:

1. Prepare and apply the duct tape

  • Cut a piece of duct tape slightly larger than the wart to ensure complete coverage.
  • Apply the duct tape directly over the wart, pressing firmly so it adheres well. Putting a bandage over the tape helps secure it in place.

2. Leave the duct tape in place for six days

  • Keep the duct tape on the wart continuously for six days.
  • If the tape falls off during this period, replace it with a new piece as soon as possible.

3. Remove the duct tape and soak the wart

  • After six days, carefully remove the duct tape.
  • Soak the affected area in warm water for 10 to 15 minutes to soften the skin.

4. Gently exfoliate the wart

  • Use a pumice stone, emery board, or small piece of sandpaper to gently rub the surface of the wart. This helps remove dead skin cells.

5. Leave the wart uncovered overnight

  • Do not reapply duct tape immediately.
  • Leave the wart uncovered overnight, approximately 8 to 12 hours.

6. Reapply the duct tape the next morning

  • The following day, apply a new piece of duct tape over the wart.
  • Repeat steps 2 through 6 until the wart disappears. This process may take several weeks.

Since plantar warts grow on the sole of your foot, this therapy is highly recommended, as the duct tape will not be disturbed and can be left for a long time. There are many theories as to why this works; some say the duct tape “suffocates” the wart and kills the affected skin cells, while others believe removing the adhesive takes away layers of skin cells, making the wart less bulky.17

Early studies18 have supported the effectiveness of duct tape for warts removal, even finding it more efficient than conventional therapies like cryotherapy. However, there are other studies that question its efficacy. For example, in one 2011 study, wherein subjects were treated with either moleskin and transparent duct tape or just moleskin, no statistically significant differences were seen in the two groups.19

However, we must look at the specifics, and in this case, the type of duct tape used. The issue is that traditional silver duct tape uses a rubber-based adhesive while transparent duct tape, the one used in the 2011 study, uses an acrylic-based glue, affecting its effectiveness. Hence, when using duct tape to remove warts, it is important to use rubber-based adhesive tapes to optimize effectiveness.

Another notable advantage of using duct tape is it has very minor side effects, like local irritation. As mentioned, plantar warts are more common among children and teens, so a minimally invasive treatment like duct tape is more suitable and tolerable for young patients, compared to invasive treatments like cryotherapy that causes lingering pain and blisters, and keep them from completing their sessions.

Other Home Treatments for Plantar Warts

Aside from tape occlusion, the following home remedies for warts are also worth trying. Keep in mind that these are for common warts and plantar warts, and not for genital warts or those that grow on your face.

Garlic — Crush a clove and rub it directly on the wart. Don’t leave the garlic in contact with your skin overnight, though, as it causes a burn. Garlic has antiviral properties that help fight the virus and support your immune system.20
Banana peel — Use the inside of a banana peel to help remove warts. Tape a small piece directly over the wart and leave it for a few days, replacing it with a new peel as needed. Keep doing this until the wart disappears. This could take up to three weeks.21
Pineapple juice — Dab the juice directly on the wart or put a small slice of pineapple over it, covering it with a bandage for three to five minutes. Repeat two to three times a day.22
Aloe vera — Apply aloe vera gel on a cotton ball and place it in direct contact with the wart. Tape it in place and reapply aloe vera every few hours. Do this for a few days until the wart disappears.23
Castor oil — Dab castor oil over the wart several times a day, and then tape a castor oil-soaked cotton ball over it before you go to sleep. In the morning, file the dead skin away. The beneficial acid in castor oil offers antibacterial and anti-inflammatory effects to help eliminate the wart.24
Apple cider vinegar — Dab ACV on the wart twice a day. It could take a few weeks before the wart is completely removed. The acetic acid in it kills bacteria, while malic acid, an alpha hydroxyl acid, exfoliates your skin naturally.25

Does the HPV Vaccine Prevent Plantar Warts?

In a New York Times article, Daveluy recommends those who are eligible for the HPV vaccine, like Gardasil, to get vaccinated. This is based on limited evidence that the vaccine might “help plantar warts and other wart types clear up more quickly.”26

However, the HPV vaccine is only designed to protect against strains that cause genital warts, and not those that cause plantar warts. So, if your only goal in getting vaccinated is to minimize your risk of getting common and plantar warts, then you could be swapping a small, easily avoidable health condition for a host of other more dangerous health issues.

In fact, before the COVID-19 jabs were released, I considered Gardasil to be the most dangerous and unjustifiable vaccine on the market. Its risk-benefit ratio is shocking, and the data shows it. In fact, in the best-case scenario, Gardasil only saved 0.2 per 10,000 lives in the U.S., and 0.6 lives per 10,000 in England. At the same time, it killed at least 4.13 per 10,000 recipients — mostly young people, whose lives were just starting.

What’s more, Gardasil is associated with severe side effects such as autoimmune disorders, infertility, and other long-term complications. You can read more about this in my article, “The HPV Vaccine Tragedy Was a Test Run for COVID-19,” where I provide a more in-depth report on this topic.

Tips to Prevent Plantar Warts

The bottom line is, plantar warts are a minor health concern and are entirely preventable. As long as you practice proper hygiene and follow the precautionary measures below, you won’t have to worry about getting these uncomfortable growths on your feet:27

If someone has a wart, do not touch it — This is the easiest way to transmit and get the virus.
Always wear flip-flops or pool shoes in shared public areas, like locker rooms, pool areas and communal showers — HPV loves warm, moist environments. If your bare skin is moist and soft, or if you have cracks or wounds on your feet, HPV easily penetrates it. Wearing shoes and flip-flops helps prevent exposure.
Don’t share towels, washcloths, razors, socks, nail clippers and other personal items — This prevents the virus from spreading from one person to another.
Moisturize your skin — Dry, cracked skin allows the HPV virus to penetrate more easily.
Wash your hands frequently — If you have an active wart and are treating it, make sure to wash your hands before and after doing the treatment.
Always clean and cover open wounds, cuts and scrapes — Any open wound is susceptible to HPV.

word "risk" and mmr vaccine

The risk of permanent disability or death from the MMR vaccine may be greater than the risk posed by measles, mumps or rubella infection because large enough vaccine safety studies haven’t been done, according to a collection of new documents released by Physicians for Informed Consent (PIC).

The collection includes disease information statements for measles, mumps and rubella, and a vaccine risk statement for the MMR vaccine.

According to the Mayo Clinic, measles is a viral infection typically accompanied by a skin rash, fever, cough, runny nose, sore throat, inflamed eyes and tiny white spots on the inner cheek.

Mumps and rubella also are viral infections. According to PIC, all three viral infections typically resolve on their own with proper rest and hydration in almost all cases.

Dr. Shira Miller, PIC’s founder and president, told The Defender, “The main takeaway is that the MMR vaccine has not been proven safer than measles, mumps and rubella.”

PIC is a nonprofit that delivers data to doctors and the public so they can “evaluate the data on infectious diseases and vaccines objectively, and voluntarily engage in informed decision-making about vaccination.”

Miller explained that the MMR vaccine clinical trials didn’t include enough subjects to be able to prove that the risk of permanent disability or death from the vaccine is less than the risk of permanent disability or death from measles, mumps or rubella.

The number of measles, mumps or rubella infections that result in permanent disability or death is so low that researchers would need to have at least 50,000 subjects in a clinical trial to be able to show that the vaccine is safer than the disease.

The MMR vaccine’s clinical trials fall very short of that benchmark, according to PIC’s statement on MMR vaccine risk.

Prelicensure clinical trials for vaccines, including the MMR shot, are “relatively small and usually last no longer than a few years,” according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s (CDC) 2024 “Manual for the Surveillance of Vaccine-Preventable Diseases.”

The 2024 edition of the CDC manual doesn’t specify exactly how many subjects are in these “relatively small” trials. However, the 2011 edition stated that “relatively small” meant that such trials are “usually limited to a few thousand subjects.”

The rate of disability or death among healthy children from any of those three diseases is incredibly rare. PIC wrote:

“For children under age 10 at normal risk (i.e., with normal levels of vitamin A and infected after birth), the pre-vaccine annual risk of death or permanent disability from measles, mumps, and rubella respectively was 1 in 1 million, 1 in 1.6 million, and 1 in 2.1 million. …

“Therefore, the cumulative annual risk of a fatal or permanently disabling case of any of those diseases was about 1 in 500,000, and the risk over a 10-year span was 1 in 50,000.”

In other words, clinical trials would need at least 50,000 subjects to detect one case of death or disability from a measles, mumps or rubella infection.

Meanwhile, no safety studies on the MMR vaccine have been done that looked for possible genetic mutations, impaired fertility or cancer, according to the product’s package insert.

Also, seizures from the MMR vaccine occur five times more often than measles-related seizures.

Dr. Liz Mumper, a pediatrician, praised PIC for releasing the collection of data on measles, mumps and rubella, and on the MMR vaccine.

“Most parents have not had access to the information contained in the thoughtful analysis done by Physicians for Informed Consent. Parents should recognize that the risk of bad outcomes from a measles infection — if their child lives in a developed country with clean water and is not immune-deficient — is extraordinarily rare, as PIC reports.”

Unfortunately, she added, recent U.S. media reports “sensationalized” the risks of measles.

What’s typically missing from measles media reports

PIC’s statement on measles cited numerous facts commonly overlooked in many media reports on measles outbreaks, including:

  • The U.S. measles mortality rate dropped dramatically before a measles vaccine was introduced in 1963.
  • Immunity from the MMR vaccine wanes so that by age 15, roughly 60% of vaccinated children are susceptible to subclinical measles virus infections.
  • Studies have suggested a link between a naturally acquired measles infection and a reduced risk of Hodgkin’s and non-Hodgkin’s lymphomas.
  • Studies also suggested a link between a naturally acquired measles infection and a lower risk of asthma, eczema and hay fever.
  • Malnutrition — particularly vitamin A deficiency — is a primary cause of over 100,000 measles deaths in underdeveloped countries.

Mumper said that the risk of bad outcomes from a measles infection drastically declined with improved public health and better nutrition long before MMR vaccines were available.

“The risk of bad outcomes has always been more for children in developing countries who are more likely to have nutritional deficiencies including vitamin A and lack access to clean water,” Mumper added.

The Trump Administration Must Bring Moderna to Heel

The Trump Administration Must Bring Moderna to Heel

Last week, independent journalist Alex Berenson reported that a preschool-aged child died of “cardio-respiratory arrest” after taking a dose of Moderna’s Covid mRNA vaccine during its clinical trials. Despite federal requirements to report all trial information, the company withheld the truth for years as it raked in billions from its Covid shots.

The extent of the cover-up remains unknown, but Moderna, headed by CEO Stéphane Bancel, disregarded federal law requiring companies to report “summary results information, including adverse event information, for specified clinical trials of drug products” to clinicaltrials.gov. The company, not the government, is responsible for posting all results, and failure to report the death of a child constitutes a clear breach of US law, which threatens civil action against any party that “falsifies, conceals, or covers up by any trick, scheme, or device a material fact.”

To this point, pharmaceutical companies have remained largely immune for their role in perpetrating globally-scaled deception resulting in thousands of vaccine injuries and billions in profits. They have enjoyed a liability shield courtesy of the PREP Act, which offers protections for injuries resulting from vaccines; that indemnity, however, does not extend to non-compliance with federal regulations, material misstatements or omissions of fact, or other offenses.

The death of the child only became known because of an obscure European report released last year, which revealed that Moderna has known about the death for over two years while it continues to advertise Covid shots to children as young as six months old.

Moderna’s European filing also revealed that the company withheld trial results demonstrating that children under 12 who received the vaccine were ten times more likely than those who received the placebo to suffer “serious side effects.” Without any evidence, Moderna claimed that the side effects, including the death of a child, were unrelated to the shots.

The incoming Trump administration offers a rare opportunity to hold pharmaceutical companies accountable and to investigate the depth of the cover-up.

The FDA is responsible for enforcing the reporting of vaccine trial results, but recent heads of the agency such as Scott Gottlieb and Robert Califf have been fanatical supporters of Big Pharma. Trump’s choice for FDA, Dr. Marty Makary, presents a stark contrast to his predecessors. Makary has criticized the US Government’s reluctance to acknowledge the role of natural immunity in preventing Covid infection, and he opposed the widespread vaccination of children. He testified to Congress, “In the U.S. we gave thousands of healthy kids myocarditis for no good reason, they were already immune. This was avoidable.”

President-elect Trump has tapped Robert F. Kennedy, Jr., perhaps the most well-known critic of the Covid vaccines, to lead the Department of Health and Human Services, which oversees the FDA. He has named Dr. Jay Bhattacharya, an author of the Great Barrington Declaration, as his choice to head the National Institutes of Health. Further, Senator Ron Johnson (R-WI) told Berenson that he plans to subpoena the FDA once Republicans become the majority party in the Senate this month.

President Trump’s first term was ultimately defined by his failure to fulfill his pledge to “drain the swamp.” A corrupt bureaucracy, personified in many ways by Dr. Anthony Fauci, aided and abetted by advisors like his son-in-law, Jared Kushner, hijacked the president’s agenda. Now, the Trump administration has an unlikely yet monumental opportunity for health reform, which can start on January 20 with an investigation into Moderna’s cover-up.

The Covid response doomed Trump 1.0. Whether one regards this as a monumental error, the betrayal of a president by his advisors, an event beyond the president’s control, or a deeper and more complex plot involving everything and everyone associated with the government, both in the US and around the world, there is no question of the scale of the calamity for the public. The shots are part of that, the capstone failure of a long line of foreshadowing with lockdowns and all that was associated with pre-pharmaceutical interventions. The antidote came not as a cure but, for many, the disease itself.

There must be truth if not justice.

Experts Raise Questions About SIDS After Study Shows Vaccinating Preterm Babies Greatly Increases Risk of Apnea

Hospitalized preterm infants had a 170% higher incidence of apnea within 48 hours of receiving their routine 2-month vaccinations compared to unvaccinated babies, according to a new study. The authors said the study supports current vaccine recommendations, but some scientists disagreed and raised concerns about SIDS.

vaccine and infant feet

The study, published Jan. 6 in JAMA Pediatrics, defined apnea “as a respiration pause greater than 20 seconds or a respiration pause greater than 15 seconds with associated bradycardia” — or low heart rate of less than 80 beats per minute.

Noting that preterm infants receive their routine vaccinations at the same time as full-term infants, the study sought to determine whether routine 2-month vaccinations resulted in an increased risk of apnea.

The authors concluded, “The similar number and duration of apneic events and lack of serious adverse events suggest that current vaccination recommendations for hospitalized preterm infants are appropriate.”

However, Karl Jablonowski, Ph.D., senior research scientist at Children’s Health Defense, said the authors arrived at their conclusion “by ignoring the risks” evident in their own data.

“A premature infant experiencing apnea will likely have a longer neonatal intensive care unit stay, further exposing them to hospital-acquired infection,” Jablonowski said. “This is on top of the other risk factors for apnea like death, respiratory failure, long-term lung problems and failure to thrive.

In a Substack post, cardiologist Dr. Peter McCullough suggested that “it is conceivable” that with seven vaccines at age 2 months and 16 vaccines at 12-15 months, “combination vaccination could be associated with significant unmonitored apneas, febrile seizures, or both resulting in sudden infant death syndrome [SIDS] at home.”

Biologist Christina Parks, Ph.D., an expert in how vaccines affect the immune system, told The Defender the study confirms “what previous studies on premature infants have shown — that vaccination induces cardiorespiratory stress that manifests as the slowing of heart rate (bradycardia) and respiration as well as the cessation of breathing (apnea) for brief periods of time.”

Parks said the fact that “the known risks have not been implicated as potential causes of SIDS is inexcusable at this point.”

Study suggests ‘one-size-fits-all approach to vaccination’ not appropriate for preterm infants

Research scientist and author James Lyons-Weiler, Ph.D., told The Defender the study “is a wake-up call” that highlights how routine vaccinations, particularly in preterm infants, may carry overlooked risks.

“The increased incidence of apnea in vaccinated preterm infants suggests that the one-size-fits-all approach to vaccination may not be appropriate for such a vulnerable population,” Lyons-Weiler said. “It underscores the need to consider individual physiological differences — especially in those with underdeveloped systems — and tailor vaccination practices accordingly.”

Lyons-Weiler said the study’s authors appear to prioritize the broader public health benefits of vaccination over the individual risks demonstrated in the study. He said:

“They assume that the short-term apnea risks are outweighed by the long-term protection against infectious diseases. However, this conclusion overlooks critical questions about long-term outcomes for these infants, particularly if apnea episodes have lingering neurological consequences. They did not, however, really think this through. What is a pre-term infant’s life worth?”

Parks noted that the study did not present an analysis of what the potential causes of the increased incidence of apnea in vaccinated infants might be. “The complete lack of interest in the mechanisms by which vaccination is increasing cardiorespiratory distress in infants is also somewhat shocking.”

Jablonowski noted that the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s childhood immunization schedule has expanded since the study was conducted, from 2018 to 2021.

“Had this study been performed today, with the rapidly expanding CDC immunization schedule, the infants would have received Prevnar 20 instead of Prevnar 13 — so, seven additional antigens for pneumococcal, the rotavirus vaccine — up to five more antigens, and a monoclonal antibody for RSV,” Jablonowski said.

Four vaccinated infants had suspected cases of sepsis

Jablonowski also highlighted a less-emphasized outcome of the study: Four vaccinated infants had suspected cases of sepsis — a condition where the body responds improperly to an infection. By comparison, only one unvaccinated infant has a suspected case of sepsis.

Jablonowski said:

“The most startling finding of this study was not its primary or secondary outcomes, but an exploratory outcome concerning sepsis.

“No one versed in vaccine adverse reactions would be surprised that four vaccinated infants — compared to one unvaccinated infant — presented with fever. Everyone should be surprised that four vaccinated infants — compared to one unvaccinated infant — had blood cultures or were administered antibiotics over a concern for sepsis.

“Did the onslaught of the study’s five vaccines, covering 19 antigens, simultaneously administered, mimic sepsis symptoms or degrade the immune systems so severely to allow a pathogen to gain a foothold?”

Previous studies have confirmed the risk of infant sepsis after vaccination, Parks said.

“Traditionally, doctors assumed that infant sepsis was due to bacterial infection and treated with antibiotics even when no bacterial infection could be identified. However, these previous studies demonstrated that it was actually vaccination that led to this potentially life-threatening hyper-inflammatory state,” Parks said.

According to French independent scientist Hélène Banoun, Ph.D., the study confirms a French medical thesis published in 2013. That study examined 144 preterm babies, finding that 68% of newborns experienced significant cardiorespiratory events after vaccination.

“Taken together, all of these studies show that vaccination causes extreme, and possibly life-threatening, stress to the infant body and the tinier the body, the less resources it has to withstand that stress,” Parks said.

Aluminum-containing vaccines may pose a particular risk to preterm infants

Lyons-Weiler said that the study’s results also provide an indication of the risk involved with administering multiple vaccines at the same time or within a short period — particularly in babies and young children.

“Preterm infants already have underdeveloped immune and neurological systems, and the cumulative aluminum burden from multiple vaccines could exacerbate risks like apnea,” he said. “This study suggests that combination vaccination in such populations needs to be carefully reevaluated.”

He also noted that some vaccines routinely administered to infants contain aluminum. He analyzed the potential risks of administering such vaccines to babies on his Substack.

“Aluminum adjuvants are known to trigger immune activation and inflammation, which could impact respiratory and neurological stability in preterm infants,” Lyons-Weiler said. “Unfortunately, the study did not explore specific mechanisms, such as aluminum adjuvants, that might explain the observed increase in apnea. This is a significant oversight.”

Aluminum salts “are potent immune activators and could trigger systemic inflammation, disrupting respiratory control,” Lyons-Weiler said. He said infant vaccination could also spur cytokine production, “which may interfere with the immature neurological pathways responsible for regulating breathing.”

“Simultaneous administration of multiple vaccines increases the immune activation burden and cumulative aluminum exposure, compounding risks,” Lyons-Weiler said.

Writing on Substack, Lyons-Weiler called for vaccines that do not contain aluminum to be prioritized. He also called for the delayed vaccination of infants “not at immediate risk of Hepatitis B infection, or who have respiratory or cardiac episodes following vaccination” and proposed weight-based dosing “to account for the smaller body mass and underdeveloped renal function of preterm infants.”

“Delaying non-essential vaccinations until greater physiological maturity may provide a safer path forward,” Lyons-Weiler wrote.

The grand jury, convened in December 2022 to investigate “any and all wrongdoing” related to COVID-19 vaccines found no criminal activity, but did find a “pattern of deceptive and obfuscatory behavior on the part of sponsors and regulators that often straddled the line between ethical and unethical conduct.”

The peer-reviewed study, published Dec. 29, 2024, in the Journal of High School Science, was authored by three high school students and performed at an FDA lab under the supervision of FDA scientists. The findings prompted renewed calls for a moratorium on COVID-19 vaccines.

A peer-reviewed study performed at a U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) laboratory by high school students has confirmed the presence of a high level of DNA contamination in Pfizer’s mRNA COVID-19 vaccine.

The study, published Dec. 29, 2024, in the Journal of High School Science, was authored by three students at Centreville High School in Clifton, Virginia, and performed under the supervision of FDA scientists.

Maryanne Demasi, Ph.D., an investigative medical reporter, was the first to report on the study.

The research, performed at the FDA’s White Oak Campus in Maryland, found that levels of residual DNA in the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine were 6 to 470 times higher than regulatory safety limits. The students tested two lots of the vaccine, finding they contained “residual DNA to a level that exceeds 10 ng [nanograms] per dose.”

“The potential health risk posed by residual small DNA fragments is currently unknown,” the study stated. However, the authors also said that DNA contamination may result in insertional mutagenesis — or DNA mutations — that can cause cancer.

Speaking last month on “The Defender In-Depth,” Kevin McKernan, who first identified DNA contamination in the shots in 2023, said DNA in vaccines can pose health risks because the DNA “could integrate into the genome and cause disruption of the genome … or it could disrupt other genes that are related to cancer.”

The FDA did not respond to multiple requests for comment on the study.

COVID vaccines ‘must be immediately recalled’

The new findings challenge “years of dismissals by regulatory authorities, who had previously labelled concerns about excessive DNA contamination as baseless,” Demasi wrote on Substack.

The findings also align with earlier reports from independent laboratories in the U.S., Canada, Australia, Germany and France, she said.

McKernan, founder of Medicinal Genomics, told The Defender that eight studies have found DNA over the limit. “Very few studies are surveying a large number of lots, so each study is additive,” he said.

Epidemiologist Nicolas Hulscher said that in “light of this evidence, the COVID-19 genetic injections must be immediately recalled, to protect the public from further harm.”

Nikolai Petrovsky, Ph.D., director of biotechnology company Vaxine Pty Ltd., told Demasi that the findings are a “smoking gun” and that the new study “clearly shows the FDA was aware of these data.”

Christof Plothe, D.O., a member of the World Council for Health steering committee, agreed. He said:

“So far, the European, Australian, and American health regulatory boards have denied any risks from plasmid DNA contamination in the COVID-19 injections despite nine studies by internationally known research teams.

“All teams concluded that this contamination poses an unacceptable risk to three-quarters of the world’s population. … Three teams so far have demonstrated the integration into human cells. To what extent this is happening to everybody who was injected needs to be investigated.”

McKernan said that the FDA has long ignored evidence of the dangers posed by mRNA COVID-19 vaccines.

“The criteria for pulling these shots was established long before DNA contamination was first discovered,” he said. “I would hope that evidence of highly variable manufacturing would be grounds for immediate class 1 recall from the FDA. They are currently distracted with performing class 1 recalls on non-lethal hairspray.”

A Class 1 recall involves “a situation in which there is a reasonable probability that the use of, or exposure to, a violative product will cause serious adverse health consequences or death.”

According to Demasi, “The FDA is expected to comment on the findings this week. However, the agency has yet to issue a public alert, recall the affected batches, or explain how vials exceeding safety standards were allowed to reach the market.”

Plothe noted that Demasi presented evidence of DNA contamination to the FDA in September 2024, asking if the agency had launched an investigation or requested further testing of the mRNA vaccines by their manufacturers.

“Nothing resulted from this request,” Plothe said. “As nine studies have proven this severe contamination and repeated requests to health regulatory boards have not led to any consequence, we must ask about the motive.”

Brian Hooker, Ph.D., chief scientific officer for Children’s Health Defense (CHD), noted the irony of high school students discovering what the FDA has seemingly missed in the four-plus years since the vaccines’ introduction.

“It is ironic that it takes student researchers at the FDA to do the work of the FDA regulators,” Hooker said. “It is alarming that the public is made aware of this contamination in an obscure journal that features high school science research. One has to ask, ‘Where is the FDA now?’ and ‘Why hasn’t the public been alerted of this?’”

Demasi said that the significance of the new study’s findings is that they came from research performed at an FDA facility.

“Now that DNA contamination of the mRNA vaccines has been verified in the laboratory of an official agency and published in a peer-reviewed journal, it becomes difficult to ignore,” Demasi wrote. “It also places vaccine manufacturers and regulators in a precarious position.”
